Epsom Salts baths (or Hydrated Magnesium Sulphate) seem to be one of the most popular forms of detoxifying baths. They are cheap, readily available and help replenish the body's magnesium reserves.

Magnesium is an important alkaline mineral. It is actually the 4th most important mineral in the body. It is better absorbed through the skin. Today's lifestyle and diets seem to contribute to magnesium deficinecy and an Epsom Salts bath is an effective way of replenishing this essential mineral with many benefits, which include:

How To Take a Clay Bath: Scatter 2 cups of Bentonite Clay powder like Redmond Trading Company Clay or Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing into a very hot water bath as it's running. To avoid lumps, mix 1 part clay to 8 parts water in a container with a lid and shake vigorously. Allow the mix to sit for a couple of hours, shake again and pour into the bathtub and mix with the rest of the hot water. Submerge as much of your body as possible in the water with the temperature as hot as you can stand it, for about 20 minutes.

Please note: Though the bentonite clay bath is a very effective detox aid, it can get quite messy and could clog the bathtub's drain.
